What is a Certified Nursing Assistant?

A CNA is a front-line caregiver providing health care and services with respect and dignity. As part of a 95-hour state required training, you will learn how to care for a resident's total needs including spiritual, social, recreational and nursing needs.

CNA Course Details

The course is paid for by Country Manor and is offered at no cost to you. Included in the course: books, instructor-based education, clinicals, and MN state exam- for free! And upon successful completion of the course and exam, you will transition into your new role as a Certified Nursing Assistant!

Each student will be required to fulfill a 2080 hour (equivalent to 12 month full-time) contract with Country Manor after completion of the course and test.

At least 18 years of age
Able to attend each class, no exceptions
Able to work with peers, supervisors and residents in a cooperative, considerate and helpful manner
Able to effectively communicate with residents, families and personnel
Willing to learn caregiver techniques and problem-solving skills
Responsible

PROCESS

If you are interested in the course and meet all the qualifications, you can either complete an application online or you can come to our Front Desk (Door #1) and complete an application there.
We review all of the applications and will call selected applicants for interviews. Each applicant will hear from us either by letter or phone as soon as possible. If you are accepted into the course, you will begin your 4-6 week training course on the given date. Once you pass the state test, which is provided to you and is free of cost, you will start your 2080 hour contract working as a CNA for Country Manor Campus.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: These classes are offered once every two months at no charge and are held on campus. We can only accept 10 students per class.
